The fictional Canal Road is a medical and legal advisory centre where the lives of inner-city professionals and their patients entwine in a story of mystery and intrigue. At the heart of the series are the tragic deaths of the wife and son of central character Spencer McKay. Spencer is the centre’s psychiatrist who is confronted by the killer of his loved ones and sets out on a journey of revenge which will implicate friends, workmates and his darkest demons.

Art Watkins returns to the neglected resort of Broken Bay, the eastern-most point of Australia, when his mother dies. Art hopes his stay will be brief but the legacy from his mother binds him to his wayward younger brother and the teenage son he has hardly seen in ten years. The longer Art stays, the more he becomes enmeshed in the lives of the locals and the drifters who have found safe haven in Broken Bay.

Yet another brand new Australian television drama series entitled The Strike Team (formerly known as Scorched) starring Georgie Parker has been added to the Austrailan TV Dramas Board. The telemovie Scorched will be seen first, then later in the year the series will follow and can be seen on the Nine Network.
